Practice Tool Box
This session will connect the spaces between practice, business and risk management. A panel of recognized legal and risk management experts will share important information on client expectations, Standard of Care, Warranties and Guarantees, and other key items that practitioners should avoid at all costs. They will also discuss the importance of having a proper contract and provide examples of claims that architects regularly face and the implications for practice.

Craig Wallace is a principal of SHK with over 30 years of experience in construction, insurance and commercial litigation. He frequently acts as counsel for design professionals, construction managers, owners and contractors in all manners of construction disputes. His background as a Professional Engineer enables him to provide knowledgeable and cost-effective representation to these parties
Don Smith joined SKH in 2016 and has more than 25 years of experience. His litigation and dispute resolution practice is concentrated on construction claims, directors’ and officers’ liability, product liability, and defence for property and liability insurers in complex multiparty claims.
