Ryan Bragg is a principal at Perkins and Will and is largely involved with the studio’s Corporate, Commercial, and Civic (CCC) practice. His extensive portfolio includes large-scale, transit-oriented projects, along with the corresponding municipal policies. A valued member of Vancouver’s leadership team, Ryan has a reputation for design excellence in city building projects.
Among Ryan’s recently completed projects is the Great Northern Way campus in East Vancouver, which has opened the door to a new creative district. Rethinking and redistributing the site’s density unlocked spectacular mountain views while expanding the public space, including the stunning retail pavilion. He previously worked on the Marine Gateway development in Vancouver; an 80,000 square metre mixed-use project that set a new standard for sustainable development along mass transit lines. His experience also includes the True North development in Winnipeg, Manitoba; a bold city landmark that took an ambitious approach to public realm design, providing a vibrant mix of uses and meaningful connections for its urban users.
Ryan shared his passion for design as a former Chair of Vancouver’s Urban Design Panel and continues to do so through active mentorship within the studio and regular speaking engagements.
