David Leverton is currently the Executive Director of the Maritime Museum of British Columbia. David has served in several senior management roles on behalf of museums, science centres and First Nation Cultural Centres over the past 25 years in Ontario, Alberta, Yukon, British Columbia and New Zealand. In addition to these roles, David has been involved in numerous Yukon projects including development of the Northern Lights Space & Science Centre, Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre and Teslin Tlingit Heritage Centre.
David recently co-authored Those Who Perished: The Unknown Story of the Largest Shipwreck Disaster along the Pacific Northwest Coast and has written several magazine articles on British Columbia’s maritime history. David has been involved in boating along the northwest coast of British Columbia and Alaska for close to thirty years. In addition to writing and historical research, David is also an avid outdoor photographer.
